I work privately with long and short term clients, children, young people and adults.
I am a volunteer counsellor at The Mulberry Centre (www.themulberrycentre.co.uk ), a cancer support charity based at West Middlesex Hospital. I facilitate a counselling group and see individual clients – these include; patients, carers, recently bereaved and those affected by the impact of cancer.
I also work at The Place2Be Charity (www.place2be.org.uk) as a School Counsellor, offering early intervention for children in schools. Children range from 5 years up to teenagers, with issues as diverse as relationship breakdowns, trust, boundaries, abandonment, loss and abuse.
Prior to retraining as a counsellor, I spent 15 years in the corporate world. I find that this experience adds to my understanding and appreciation of the challenges faced in the busy world today.
